Samsung unveiled the new premium mid-range smartphone Galaxy F55 in India on Monday, May 27th. The device is available in three configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, priced at Rs.26,999, Rs.29,999, and Rs.32,999 respectively. The latest Galaxy F55 offers significant upgrades in design, build quality, and a more powerful processor. Upon spending some time with the device, here are my impressions.
Design and Display: Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy F54, the new Galaxy F55 features a completely fresh design. With a slim profile measuring just 7.88mm in thickness and a weight of 180g, it showcases a premium vegan leather cover panel on the back. The device is available in two colors, raisin black, and apricot crush, with the latter being visually striking.
The frame surrounding the display boasts a gold-like finish that harmonizes with the orange cover panels. Additionally, the leather-like texture on the back provides a comfortable grip and resists fingerprint smudges. The front of the device sports a 6.67-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor that functions effectively with clean and dry fingers.
