More than 20 people sitting in the bus were severely injured in the accident. In Khutar (Shahjahanpur), on Saturday night, a horrific road accident occurred outside a roadside eatery on Khutar-Gola road, where a gravel-laden dumper collided with a Volvo bus, causing it to overturn.
Eleven people sitting in the bus died in the accident, and between 20 to 25 others were injured. The injured were taken to Khutar CHC for primary treatment and then referred to the government medical college. Several of the injured are in critical condition. The police were engaged in rescue operations until late at night.
Shahjahanpur's ASP Ashok Kumar Meena stated that around 11 pm, they received information that a bus had collided with a truck in the Khutar Thana area. The bus was going to a pilgrimage. Some pilgrims were inside the bus, while others were having food at a eatery. Suddenly, an uncontrollable truck overturned on the bus. In the accident, a total of 11 people died, and more than 20 were injured.
