A shocking incident has come to light in Shirur police station in which a woman tried to burn herself by pouring diesel on herself. The Shirur police have registered a case against 15 people, including a school teacher, for allegedly abusing and threatening a woman and her young son when they went to enquire about the sound of a DJ at a school near their house at night and that it was hampering their children's studies. The woman alleged that the school teacher was drunk and the police did not help her in filing the complaint.

When the complainant tried to leave, a woman kicked him and took his mobile phone. Suresh Chaugule assaulted his son Jeevan Salve. Even after this, Chaugule and Jadhav abused the complainant's son and threatened to get him acquitted. Police Inspector Sheikh is conducting further investigations in the matter. A few days ago, her husband Sakharam Salve had filed a missing complaint along with her son Jeevan. The police had registered a missing case after she sent a message to her husband's mobile that she was leaving due to harassment by the teachers and staff of the school. On Wednesday evening, Salve poured kerosene on himself in front of the Shirur police station. A case was registered against 15 people, including Jadhav, a teacher at St Joseph's School, and his assistant Chowgule, on his complaint late on Wednesday night
