The temple doors opened at 4 am for the Bhasma Aarti on Monday morning during the Chaturthi Tithi of Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha at the renowned Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. The priest performed rituals for all the gods' idols in the sanctum sanctorum, followed by offering Lord Mahakal water mixed with milk, curd, ghee, sugar, Panchamrit, and fruit juice.

Subsequently, the first bell rang, and Hari Om water was presented. Post the Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal received a new crown and Mund Mala. An exceptional aspect of today's adornment was the application of Surya, Tripund, and Trinetra on Baba Mahakal's forehead during the Bhasma Aarti, coinciding with Chaturthi Tithi and Monday. The devotees were delighted by the captivating decoration.

Ashes were then offered to Lord Mahakal by Mahanirvani Akhara, with thousands of devotees benefiting from the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal, filling the temple premises with chants of Jai Bhole Baba Tav Sharanam Jai Mahakaleshwar Tav Sharanam.

Mahakal's devotee adorned the temple with Mogra flowers. This year in the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple, as per tradition, Shekhar ji from Jaipur, the patron of priest Akash Sharma, embellished Shri Mahakaleshwar Bhagwan with 1.5 quintals of Mogra flowers, adorning Shri Garbhagriha and Nandi Mandapam with flowers.
