Three individuals lost their lives and 23 others sustained injuries in storm-related incidents that occurred during the recent storm in Delhi. The strong winds led to various incidents such as trees and electricity poles falling, as well as walls partially collapsing throughout the city. The dust storm caused power outages in multiple areas. In one tragic event, a 19-year-old woman named Shireen Ahmed suffered serious injuries from a partially collapsed building wall in Shaheen Bagh. She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to police officials.
Authorities have filed a case against the owner of the top floor of the building under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, a bike rider lost his life after a tree fell on him near Jankipuri flyover in Vikaspuri, West Delhi. The tree was removed using a crane, and the injured rider, Jayaprakash, was taken to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was declared dead. In a separate incident, a 46-year-old laborer named Hariom was killed when a tree fell on him at K.N.Katju Marg.
