Madhavi Raje Scindia, the wife of former Union Minister Madhavrao Scindia and mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, has passed away. Her final rites will be conducted today in accordance with royal traditions at the Scindia family's Chhatri in front of Katora Tal. The cremation is scheduled for Friday, May 17. Her mortal remains were brought from Delhi to Gwalior this morning and will be placed in Rani Mahal for public viewing.
Security arrangements for the event include the deployment of 2,000 soldiers. Several VVIPs, VIPs, and members of royal families are expected to attend, including senior leaders and Chief Ministers. To ensure their safety, police presence will be heightened throughout Gwalior, with traffic diversions in place. Additionally, over 2,000 soldiers and officers have been assigned to the area, fortifying the route from the airport to the Scindia Chhatri complex.
