Malabar Hill Police in Mumbai arrested three individuals for defrauding a bank by securing a car loan using counterfeit documents. The authorities seized a high-value vehicle from the suspects. The fraudsters obtained a loan of 45 lakhs by submitting forged papers to a Malabar Hill bank. Upon discovering the deception, the bank manager reported the fraud to the Malabar Hill Police Station, leading to a case being filed and an investigation initiated.

Tanmay Sarkar and Imran Hussain Mehrdin obtained Aadhaar card, PAN card, and income tax return documents belonging to Tanmay Tapas Sarkar from West Bengal illegally. They altered these documents and presented them to the bank to secure the loan. Imran Hussain, a key suspect, was apprehended while traveling on a train from Jaipur to Bandra. Another suspect, Tanmay Sarkar aka Asfaq Ajmeri, admitted to using fake documents to obtain a car loan.

The primary culprit, Sainath Ganji also known as Vikas, was subsequently apprehended. Sainath confessed to creating false documents for Ajmeri to secure the loan. A case has been registered against Sainath, a resident of Telangana, at Parksite, V.P. Marg, and the Crime Branch.
