Kolkata: Trinamool Congress MP Jawhar Sircar has resigned from the Rajya Sabha in protest against the assault on female doctors at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. In this regard, the CM wrote a letter to TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee. He also accused the Mamata Banerjee government of indulging in corruption.

After this terrible incident at the hospital, I endured patiently for a month. It was expected that Mamata Banerjee would meet these doctors and discuss. But that didn't happen. Trust in me. This anger of the people is against the attitude of some people and corrupt people. I have never seen such distrust against the government in my entire tenure, "he said.
