Washington The US and the European Union as part of its dialogue on China have bandied the value of engagement with India in addressing global challenges, including in the maritime

“ In this respect, the United States and the EU will both continue to laboriously address the challenges posed by China’snon-market programs and practices, including overcapacity and profitable compulsion, ” the statement said.

They also verified the significance of advancing the governance of critical and arising technologies, ” said the common statement.

The two delegations also bandied the mortal rights situation in China, including recent separate engagement with China on this subject. Both recognised the need for increased global mindfulness and decisive action to address continued mortal rights abuses by China, including in Tibet and Xinjiang.

“ They underlined that China should effectively cooperate with the OHCHR, including towards the perpetration of the recommendations of its assessment report on the mortal rights situation in Xinjiang, as well as with transnational mortal rights mechanisms, ” the statement said.

Both the US and the EU underlined the significance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, which is necessary to transnational security and stability. They called for the peaceful resolution ofcross-Strait issues through dialogue. “ They prompted China to act with restraint in the Taiwan Strait and around Taiwan.

They expressed opposition to any unilateral attempt to change the status quo, in particular by force or compulsion. They expressed support for Taiwan’s meaningful participation in transnational organisations, ” said the common statement.
