Currently, Lok Sabha elections are underway in the country, with voting taking place in 11 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state on Monday. Among these, voting occurred in three Lok Sabha constituencies - Pune city, Shirur Lok Sabha, and Maval Lok Sabha in Pune district. The state had its focus on the elections in these three constituencies. In the Pune Lok Sabha Constituency, Congress's Ravindra Dhangekar put up a strong fight against BJP's Mahayuti BJP Candidate Murlidhar Mohol.

In the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, which has garnered attention, Nanand-Bhavjay are engaged in a noteworthy electoral battle. Additionally, a contest unfolded in the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency between Amol Kolhe and former MP Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil. Post the voting on Monday, both sides are claiming victory, with banners displayed in Pune.

Following the conclusion of the voting process on Monday, victory banners are being exhibited by candidates from both parties in the city. Several BJP workers have displayed banners proclaiming Murlidhar Mohol's triumph in the Baner area of Pune. This particular banner reads 'Curve Road to Duty Path,' featuring Murlidhar Mohol alongside former Pune Municipal Corporation corporator Sunny Nimhan.

Mohol's name precedes the term 'Khasdar,' with BJP office bearers extending their best wishes. On the other hand, banners celebrating the victories of Mahavikas Aghadi candidates Supriya Sule, Ravindra Dhangekar, and Dr. Amol Kolhe have been put up. Mahavikas Aghadi has felicitated the three candidates by declaring 'Gulal is ours' on their banner, which was erected by Amit Bagul and associates.

This time in the Pune Lok Sabha Constituency, there was a 3.7 percent increase in voter turnout compared to the last election. Over 50 percent of voters participated in all six assembly constituencies. The conversation has now shifted towards interpreting the implications of this voter turnout. Notably, there was a surge in voter percentage in key assembly constituencies like Kasba Vidhan Sabha, Pune Cantonment Assembly Constituency, Kothrud Assembly Constituency, and Parvati Assembly Constituency.

Kasba is traditionally a BJP stronghold, yet in the previous by-election, Ravindra Dhangekar secured this constituency for Congress. Kasba witnessed a voting percentage of 59.24 in this election, prompting discussions on a potential lead for BJP similar to the last election and speculation on Dhangekar's future political maneuvers.
