Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated his goal of securing over 400 seats for the BJP-led NDA in the current Lok Sabha elections to prevent the Congress from reinstating Article 370 in Kashmir and imposing a "Babri lock" on the Ram temple in Ayodhya. While addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, PM Modi fiercely criticized the Congress, accusing them of disrespecting Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of India's Constitution.

He highlighted that the Congress party has initiated a narrative suggesting that Ambedkar played a minor role in shaping the Constitution. PM Modi emphasized that the Congress family harbors a deep aversion towards Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and expressed his determination to secure the needed parliamentary seats to block any such actions. Prior to the general elections, PM Modi had set a target of 400 seats for the NDA and 370 for the BJP.

He challenged the Congress to publicly pledge to the nation that they will not introduce religious-based reservations, preserve the existing reservations for SC's, ST's, and OBC's, and refrain from allocating reservations to Muslims from the current OBC quota. However, he highlighted that the Congress has remained unresponsive, insinuating that they are evading these demands by staying silent.

PM Modi reiterated his objective of achieving 400 seats in the Lok Sabha to prevent what he described as the Congress's exploitation of the OBC quota for their electoral gains. He noted that with a majority in parliament, they have extended the SC/ST quota for a decade, elected a tribal woman as the nation's President for the first time, and implemented reservations for women.
