As part of the US visit, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and a team of senior officials met Amgen MD Dr. David Rees and National Executive Som Chattopadhyay at Amgen's R & D center in San Francisco.


Amgen's new research centre will be set up in a six-storey building in Hyderabad's Hi-Tech City. There are about 3,000 jobs here.


Speaking to the representatives of Amgen, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that it is a matter of pride for the world-renowned biotech company to choose Hyderabad as the development center of their company. With this agreement, the importance of Hyderabad in the field of biotechnology will increase further. The CM said that the company's goal to serve patients with world-class technology is very inspiring.


Dr. Rees, MD of Amgen, said that they have been a leading company in the field of biotechnology for the last 40 years. "" "We are going to set up a research center in Hyderabad to provide more services with new innovations in the field of data science and artificial intelligence, and this will be an excellent milestone in the field of biotech."


Industries Minister Sridhar Babu said that he is happy that Amgen India has chosen Hyderabad as the centre for its new research centre, which once again proves that Hyderabad is the perfect place for the life sciences sector at the global level. The minister assured that the government will support the expansion of the company.
