The Bharti Vidyapeeth police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing two-wheelers and selling them to customers. The police have recovered 11 stolen two-wheelers from them. Police are looking for his accomplice.

Shravan Madhav Shinde(26) The accused has been identified as Sairam Heights, Ubale Nagar, Wagholi. Due to the increase in the number of theft cases in the Bharti University campus, the senior officials had instructed the officers of the investigation team and the Amaldar to find the accused in the theft case. Police inspector Namdev Renuse received information through a correspondent that a person was moving around with a stolen two-wheeler. During the search of the accused, suspect Shravan Shinde was found near the iron bridge along the subway on Satara Road. His two-wheeler was stolen. The police have recovered 11 stolen two-wheelers worth Rs 6 lakh from him.


Shravan Shinde used to steal cars to travel. After that, I started looking for customers. He said that he would give the documents later, adding that he had taken Rs 5,000 from one of them and given the bike. Then he did not give the documents and did not come to take the rest of the money. When the police took Shinde to his doorstep, he realised that the car was stolen. (Pune Crime News)
