Hyderabad : The Congress government has reportedly given a green signal for developing six flyovers and junctions around the KBR demesne in Hyderabad to manage business. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation( GHMC) has estimated the cost of the construction of six flyovers to be nearly Rs 586 crores. The communal body will first still take consultations and draw 3D walkthroughs of the forthcoming flyovers and junctions around KBR, reported TNIE.

Six junctions around the KBR Park will be examined for business traffic, design specifications and the impact of the flyovers on the traffic. According to the report, the former BRS government, under the Strategic Road Development Program( SRDP) had brought into action the plans for the construction of flyovers and junctions in the high area of Hyderabad, seeking authorization for felling a many hundred trees around KBR demesne for the purpose.

The move also needed the lifting of restrictions for construction around the KBR demesne which was adulterated over the times. A GO from 2016, under the Bharat Rashtra Samithi( BRS) rule also lifted all height restrictions of construction near the demesne.

Chief minister Revanth Reddy is fastening on developing the megacity and the areas around KBR which is the mecca of rest and work in Hyderabad. The areas frequently witness the movement of superstars, and the state is confident of entering due warrants from the centre. Under the Strategic Road Development Programme( SRDP), the former state government in 2015 proposed developing six flyovers and junctions around KBR Park and other corridor of Hyderabad.

presently, aneco-sensitive zone( ESZ) of 25 to 35 metres has been terminated around KBR National Park. The former government had plans to push it down further in 2015 and transferred proffers to the Center, which were approved in 2020.

The Centre stated that the communal body should refrain from bouncing trees within the demesne’s first boundary wall since they were within the ESZ. It's to be noted that the government planned to initiate an SRDP design at the demesne which needed the felling of 1,500 trees.

The former government, alongside flyovers, had also proposed underground coverts in Hyderabad, one of which would run under the KBR Park. The proposed lair would connect Banjara Hills Road number 3 and Jubilee Hills Road number 45. The idea was first floated during the BRS term. It's now reportedly back under focus.

According to former reports, the other coverts proposed in Hyderabad are the following ITC Kohenur to Wipro junction( via Khajaguda, Nanakramguda) ITC Kohenur to JNTU junction( via Mindspace Junction) ITC Kohenur to Banjara Hills RoadNo. 10( via Jubilee Hills RoadNo. 45) GVK1 Boardwalk to Nanalnagar( via Masab Tank)
