MUMBAI: The Adani Group, which has been awarded the contract for the Dharavi redevelopment project, will host the 'Dharavi Premier League Cricket Tournament' in Dharavi from May 31 to June 2. A case has been registered for illegal use of drones. A case has been registered at the Shahpur police station.
According to the Adani Group, this tournament has been organized to give the message that Dharavi redevelopment is getting the support of Dharavikas, as well as to encourage local players. It is also being said by the Adani Group that such competitions will be held even after this.
However, the Dharavi Premier League is now mired in controversy. No permission has been taken to use drones in this competition. The Shahu Nagar police have registered a case of illegal use of drones.
