An Indian Army jawan was allegedly beaten up and dragged across the border while he was on duty along the India-Bangladesh border. According to the Border Security Force, Sepoy Bhole was on duty at the fencing gate on the India-Bangladesh border at around 1 pm on June 2. At that time, a gang of Bangladeshi smugglers crossed the border of Bangladesh and came to the place. They had come there with the intention of smuggling liquor. At that time, the smugglers started abusing Sepoy Bhole in vulgar language. They tried to surround him.
According to the Border Security Force (BSF), the smugglers attacked the constable with bamboo sticks and iron rods. They were also trying to cross the border into Bangladesh. Not only this, they also snatched Bhole's radio set and rifles. However, the police managed to escape from their clutches. Border Security Force (BSF) officials have also lodged a strong protest with Bangladesh authorities in this regard.
