Following the incident, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar rushed to the spot. The Chief Minister has also directed the conformation of an disquisition platoon under the leadership of ADG Agra and Divisional Commissioner Aligarh to probe the cause of the incident, give a report within 24 hours and file an FIR against the organizers of the event. Social Welfare Minister Asim Arun, Sugarcane Development Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary and Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep Singh also rushed to Hathras. Both the ministers have been directed to stay on the spot and supervise the relief work as well as the treatment of the injured. He also said that all possible backing is being handed to the families of the departed. At the same time, the Chief Minister himself can visit the point on Wednesday.
