Dubai, UAE – In a significant move to encourage compliance with residency regulations, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has launched “The Ideal Face” initiative, aimed at recognizing residents who have maintained a clean residency record for the past decade. Starting November 1, Dubai residents and Emirati sponsors without any residency violations will be eligible for a suite of special privileges. The initiative was announced on Tuesday and aligns with the UAE's broader goal of fostering a compliant and sustainable society.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, the Director General of GDRFA, stated, “This initiative reflects our commitment to recognizing individuals who uphold the laws of the UAE, contributing to a happier and more sustainable community.” Under this new initiative, eligible residents will benefit from several advantages, including expedited visa processing at Amer centers, priority handling for requests made through the Amer call center, and home services tailored for elderly visa requirements. To qualify for “The Ideal Face” privileges, applicants must meet the following criteria Be either a UAE citizen or a foreign resident.
Have resided in Dubai for a minimum of 10 years. Be a sponsor of one or more individuals without any residency violations within the last ten years. - The sponsor must not have any recorded residency violations in the current year. Residents interested in participating must submit an “obligation certificate” through the official GDRFA website. Following verification, successful applicants will receive a digital certificate confirming their privileges. In light of this initiative, GDRFA encourages all residents to ensure their UAE residence visas and Emirates IDs are renewed promptly to avoid fines and disqualification from the program.
