Dubai, UAE — In a significant leap towards enhancing digital services, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a series of 32 advanced smart kiosks designed for cashless transactions. This innovative initiative was unveiled at the ongoing GITEX Global 2024, the world's largest technology event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The RTA showcased a video demonstration of the next-generation smart kiosks on social media platform X, featuring insights from Meera Al Shaikh, the digital services director at RTA.

Al Shaikh emphasized the kiosks' advanced design and the improved user experience they offer, stating that these self-service machines are tailored to provide the most-used digital services. Patrons can now conveniently renew their vehicle registrations, pay for traffic and parking fines, and manage Salik toll charges directly through the kiosks. The introduction of these kiosks is part of RTA's ongoing commitment to streamline public services and embrace modern technology.

Additionally, during the event, Meera Al Shaikh announced the pilot launch of "Tabby," a new payment option that allows customers to pay for RTA services in installments.
