Hyderabad The former sarpanch of Burahanpalle vill, S Devender Rao, Devender Rao had lately joined the Congress party before the Lok Sabha choices.

Police suspect that the murder was motivated by a land disagreement, as Devender Rao’s body was set up with injuries to his head and neck, indicating he was attacked with a hammer and cutter.

The assaulters haven't been linked, and the disquisition is ongoing. According to the police, there was a disagreement between Rao, a former sarpanch, and another person named P Mallesh over a 6- acre land in their vill. In connection with this disagreement, Rao was arrested six months ago for attacking Mallesh and was transferred to jail.
