The State level launch of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Mumbai Municipal Corporation at August Kranti Maidan today was done by the Chief Minister Shri Shinde. He was speaking at that time.

Chief Minister Shri Shinde said that during the freedom struggle movement, in 1942, a slogan was given to leave this historic August Kranti Maidan. After that, the freedom movement gained momentum. Millions of people sacrificed their lives for this country. In memory of this patriotism, the sacrifice of the martyrs and in gratitude to the martyred heroes, we are creating affinity among the new generation towards our national flag across the country. He said that in the last two years, a massive door-to-door Tiranga campaign has been implemented in the state.


Chief Minister Shri Shinde said that this year also the tricolor will be hoisted on 2.5 crore houses in the state. The feeling of patriotism will remain alive through this. The tricolour will also be hoisted at various shops and establishments. The saffron, white and green colours of the tricolour symbolise sacrifice, courage, love, peace and trust. This campaign will work to inspire and instill confidence in the new generation. He said that by celebrating this campaign with more enthusiasm and gaiety, the garland of patriotism will bloom across the state and the fragrance of patriotism will flow.


In this campaign, this campaign is to be celebrated through rallies, padyatras, tricolor selfies, felicitation of freedom fighters in villages and cities. He expressed confidence that the campaign will be successful with the cooperation of all. Chief Minister Shri Shinde said that the State Government is working to serve the citizens through development and welfare schemes in the State.


We all are proud that our players have hoisted the tricolor by winning various medals in the Olympic Games. Swapnil Kusale, Neeraj Chopra, Manu Bhaker and the hockey team of our state won medals. It is indeed a matter of pride and happiness, "the Chief Minister said.


In the introductory address, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Kharge said that the Tiranga campaign is being carried out from house to house across the country. The festival is being celebrated across the country with much fervour and enthusiasm. He expressed confidence that his state will continue to be at the forefront of this campaign as it has been in the last two years.


Prior to the event, Chief Minister Shri Shinde and other dignitaries paid homage at the Martyr's Memorial Stambh.


After the program, the Padyatra and Cyclothon Yatra was flagged off by Chief Minister Shri Shinde. After this, Chief Minister Mr. Shinde signed the Tiranga canvas and also took a selfie at the selfie point of the door-to-door Tiranga campaign there. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Shinde administered the tricolor pledge to the participants.


A large number of school and college students participated in the event.
