November 23, 2023 – In a stunning display of political resilience, Hemant Soren, the youngest Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has successfully defended his position against the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), solidifying his role as a formidable leader for India's tribal communities. Soren's party, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), along with its allies, captured an impressive 56 seats out of 81 in the state assembly, with JMM alone winning 34 seats—more than the entire NDA alliance, which secured only 24 seats.
