Hyderabad, India – A shocking incident unfolded on Friday evening near the SR Nagar police station, where a 21-year-old engineering graduate was brutally attacked by her jilted lover. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment following the assault. The accused, identified as Madhusudhan Reddy, 22, reportedly pursued the victim during their time studying engineering at the same college in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district. After graduation, both coincidentally enrolled in the same IT training institute in Ameerpet, where their relationship began, despite living in separate hostels.
According to Circle Inspector Srinath Reddy, the victim attempted to distance herself from Madhusudhan after becoming aware of his troubling drinking habits and other behaviors. Feeling spurned, Madhusudhan insisted on meeting her one last time, leading to a confrontation near the police station. During their meeting, an argument escalated, and in a fit of rage, Madhusudhan brandished a blade he had with him and slashed the victim’s neck. Quick-thinking officers in a nearby patrol vehicle heard the commotion and rushed to the scene.
They apprehended Madhusudhan and immediately transported the injured woman to the hospital for urgent medical care. A formal complaint has been filed by the victim, prompting local authorities to initiate a case against Madhusudhan Reddy, a resident of Chodavaram village in Srikalahasthi, Andhra Pradesh. The investigation is ongoing as police work to gather further details surrounding the incident. This disturbing attack highlights the alarming issues of relationship violence and the urgent need for awareness and preventive measures within communities. As the investigation continues, authorities remain focused on ensuring justice for the victim and addressing this growing concern.
