Hyderabad: As the northern parts of India brace for cooler temperatures, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad Centre has announced that winter is set to make its arrival in Telangana by the last week of November. This forecast comes as a welcome relief for residents who experienced a delayed and warmer winter last year. According to IMD Hyderabad officials, the state is likely to see a timely onset of colder conditions, providing a much-needed respite from the unseasonably warm weather. In the days leading up to the winter season, the IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall across various districts in Telangana. From November 13 to November 18, residents can expect rain in several areas, including Vikarabad, Yadadri Bhongir, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, and Narayanpet.

For the city of Hyderabad, the IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies accompanied by misty or hazy conditions during the morning hours over the next 24 hours. The temperature is expected to fluctuate mildly between day and night, with daytime highs around 32 degrees Celsius and nighttime lows near 21 degrees Celsius. This year's weather patterns are further complicated by anticipated La Nina conditions, which could lead to a harsher winter for the region. La Nina is characterized by cooler-than-normal waters in the tropical Pacific Ocean, contrasting sharply with El Nino, where warmer ocean waters can significantly affect global weather patterns. Both phenomena play a crucial role in influencing Hyderabad's summer and monsoon seasons. As Telangana gears up for the winter season, residents are encouraged to prepare for the changing weather and stay informed about the latest forecasts from the IMD.
