New Delhi India is likely to invite leaders of a number of its neighbouring countries, including Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, to the swearing- in form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the weekend, people familiar with the matter have said. Modi is each set to take charge as the high minister for a major third successive term with the Bharatiya Janata Party- led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) winning 293 seats in the Lok Sabha pates.

Top leaders of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Mauritius are likely to be among the foreign leaders to be invited for Modi's pledge- taking form. The media division of Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe's office said Modi invited him the swearing- in form. It said Wickremesinghe accepted the invite and complimented Modi on the electoral palm in a phone call.

"During the discussion, Prime Minister@narendramodi invited President Wickremesinghe to swearing in form, which President RW_UNP accepted," it said. Modi also had a phone discussion with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and invited to attend his swearing- in form which she accepted, politic sources said.

The people cited over said Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal' Prachanda', Bhutanes Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth are set to be invited to Modi's swearing- in form. Modi had a separate phone exchanges with Prachanda. The formal assignations are set to be transferred on Thursday, said one of the people cited over. The leaders of indigenous grouping SAARC( South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation).
