New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed his commitment to revolutionizing India's infrastructure with the 'Prime Minister's Mobility National Master Plan' (PMGS-NMP), marking a significant milestone on the initiative's third anniversary. The 'PM Gatishakti National Master Plan', launched on October 13, 2021, is designed to enhance multi-modal connectivity across the nation, ushering in a new era of efficient and sustainable development. In a message shared on social media platform 'X', Modi emphasized the importance of the initiative in driving progress across various sectors.
"The PM Gatishakti initiative is not just about infrastructure; it’s a transformative force for economic growth and sustainable development," he stated, acknowledging the initiative’s integration of seven critical engines—railways, roads, ports, waterways, airports, mass transport, and logistics infrastructure. The Prime Minister's comments come as Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal celebrated the initiative's accomplishments over the past three years. Modi highlighted how the integration of multiple stakeholders within the logistics sector has mitigated delays and opened new avenues for opportunities.
“Gati Shakti is contributing significantly to the vision of a developed India, encouraging progress, entrepreneurship, and innovation,” he noted. In a surprise visit to the PM Gatishakti Anubhuti Kendra at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, Modi explored the experience center, which showcases the key features, achievements, and milestones of the initiative. The center serves as a testament to the government's dedication to providing a robust framework for national infrastructure development.
Minister Goyal, while reflecting on the successes of the initiative, stated that the PM Gatishakti plan has streamlined logistics and improved connectivity, facilitating faster project implementation.
