Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah has achieved a remarkable milestone, setting a new record for single-day passenger traffic on November 6, with a staggering total of 161,189 travelers. This achievement marks a significant moment in the airport’s history and highlights the growing demand for air travel in the region. In a statement released by Jeddah Airports Company on Sunday, November 10, it was revealed that the record-breaking figure consisted of 79,994 arrivals and 81,195 departures, facilitated by 817 flights. This averages to an impressive 34 inbound and outbound flights per hour, showcasing the airport's enhanced operational capacity. Additionally, the airport processed a total of 132,189 pieces of luggage throughout the busy day, further emphasizing its efficiency in handling the increased passenger volume.
