Khadakwasla Dam.
Due to heavy rains in Panshet, Varasgaon and Ghat areas, water is flowing very fast in the dam. Therefore, the maximum discharge of this season is from Khadakwasla dam. At 5 pm, 45 thousand cusecs of water is being released from the Khadakwasla dam into the river basin. Besides, 9,000 cusecs of water is being released from Pavana dam and 27,000 cusecs from Mulshi dam. Also, the Mula river is now flooded due to the water falling into the city and the water coming to the river. It is likely to increase further.
After the release of 35 thousand cusecs of water in the river basin, water has entered Ekta Nagar on Sinhagad Road. Many communities have been displaced. Apart from this, water has entered Pulachi Wadi, Shanti Nagar slum in Yerawada, Indanagar, Chima Garden, Datta Wadi and Adarsh Nagar in Bopodi. As the water level in the river basin is expected to rise further, water is likely to enter Sinhagad Road as well as some other areas in Dattawadi, Pulachi Wadi, Aundh Bopodi and Patil Estate slum areas. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started evacuating people from the area. (Khadakwasla Dam)

A total of 45 people, including 20 civilians, a dog and a cat, were rescued by the fire service personnel.
The water level has risen in Shanti Nagar and Adarsh Nagar and the fire brigade has evacuated around a hundred people to safer places.
