Beirut, Lebanon – In a time of crisis, Lebanon has been bolstered by international support as the nation grapples with the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. The Lebanese government has received significant contributions from various countries, aimed at alleviating the humanitarian toll of the escalating violence. On Sunday, Lebanon welcomed its second airplane from Pakistan, laden with 17 tons of essential food and medical supplies. This donation highlights the deep-rooted historical ties between the Lebanese and Pakistani people, according to Mohammad Kheir, the secretary general of Lebanon’s Higher Relief Committee.
"This aid is a testament to the solidarity and friendship that transcends borders," Kheir stated, acknowledging the critical support from Pakistan during these tumultuous times. Additionally, Lebanon has benefited from a steady stream of relief efforts orchestrated by Saudi Arabia. The 14th flight of humanitarian aid arrived this week, carrying provisions that include food, shelter materials, and medical supplies. This initiative is part of an extensive air bridge set up by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, aimed at providing timely assistance to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
In a further demonstration of regional solidarity, the Lebanese Army received two planes filled with humanitarian supplies from Jordan. Moreover, Lebanon marked the arrival of the first shipment from Qatar as part of its second fuel grant, a crucial support as the country faces energy shortages exacerbated by the conflict. As the situation continues to evolve, Lebanon remains grateful for the outpouring of international aid, which is proving vital in supporting the nation and its citizens during a precarious period. With ongoing challenges ahead, the resolve of the Lebanese people is reinforced by the generosity of their global neighbors.
