Mumbai: The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra is all set to expand its cabinet. The next Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for 2024. Many aspirants for the post of ministers are engaged in meeting party leaders. Last month, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Cabinet expansion was discussed in the meeting.
However, the opposition is also criticizing that if they get ministerial posts now, it will only be useful to call the former minister as the next assembly elections are in two months. Meanwhile, there is talk in political circles that there will be no expansion of the cabinet of the Mahayuti government. The announcement was made by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat.
