Mumbai — In a bold statement on Tuesday, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared that the outcome of the recent elections in Haryana will serve as a precursor for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra this November. Fadnavis emphasized the people’s strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, asserting that voters in Haryana have decisively rejected the opposition's "false propaganda." Addressing party workers and media personnel, Fadnavis highlighted the BJP's strategy to counter misinformation that had impacted their performance in the previous Lok Sabha elections.

"After the Lok Sabha elections, the first exam was held in Haryana and J&K. In this test, the voters clearly rejected the false narrative propagated by the opposition and endorsed the development programs championed by PM Modi,” he stated. The Deputy Chief Minister specifically pointed to the misinformation surrounding the Agniveer Yojana, asserting that attempts to divide various segments of society were met with a unified response from voters who rewarded the BJP with a larger victory than in previous elections.

Fadnavis also underscored the importance of democratic resilience, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, where he stated that the repeal of Article 370 was met with a positive response from the local populace. “The people of Kashmir have countered the narrative propagated by Pakistan and shown that injustice is not being done to them,” he remarked. Echoing Fadnavis’ sentiments, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the state BJP president, expressed confidence that the party's success in Haryana would mirror itself in Maharashtra.

"The BJP is forming the government in Haryana, and we have also seen significant victories in J&K. The misleading tactics employed by the Congress against the backward class society have now been uncovered,” he said, reinforcing the party’s commitment to Modi’s vision of a developed India. Bawankule emphasized the necessity of a double-engine government to drive Maharashtra’s development, stating that voters are likely to favor the MahaYuti coalition.

"We will implement the 'BJP Ghar Chalo Abhiyan' to counteract the negative politics of the opposition. Every BJP worker will engage with grassroots voters to dispel any confusion created by Congress and promote the government's developmental achievements,” he added. As the political landscape in Maharashtra heats up, both leaders remain optimistic about the BJP's prospects, bolstered by recent electoral victories and a strong commitment to development. With the elections approaching, all eyes will be on how these strategies play out in shaping the future of Maharashtra.
