Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 are around the corner and all major political parties are gearing up for the same. Meanwhile, NCP chief Sharad Pawar held a meeting in Mumbai. However, a major mishap was averted in the beginning of the journey. The yatra will start from Shivneri Fort. BJP state president Jayant Patil and MP Amol Kolhe were also present at the event.
Jayant Patil and Amol Kolhe were present on the occasion along with hundreds of workers. But then a strange thing happened. During the garlanding of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the trolley in which Jayant Patil was standing suddenly derailed. An iron trolley was attached to a crane to garland the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaraya at the foot of Shivneri.
The four were identified as Jayant Patil, Amol Kolhe, Rohini Khadse and Mehboob Shaikh. The trolley was being taken down after garlanding the tall statue. However, while descending, the vehicle skidded off the road. The four fell off as the lorry hit the side of the road. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident. (Shivswarajya Yatra)
