Former corporator Vasant More, who recently joined the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray group, has been threatened with death over the phone. A complaint in this regard has been lodged at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station and an investigation is underway, senior police inspector Dashrath Patil said.

In his complaint to the police, Vasant More said, "About 15 days ago, I was busy with my day-to-day routine. A stranger called me on my phone and started abusing me. When I asked him why, he didn't say anything. And then I turned off my phone. He called again and started crying.

I blocked his number as I was busy with my work. Then he started calling from another number. Then I called my nephew Prateek Kodikkar and told him that I am at work, someone is calling from this number and abusing me. Call him and find out what's wrong. He then called her and abused her.

According to the complaint, the unidentified man said that he would kill Vasant More before the next date and started abusing him. I ignored it at that time, thinking that such things happen while working in political and social life. However, in view of the current developments, I felt it important to take this matter seriously, so I am requesting through this letter that we should find out the person who called me and threatened me.

Doubts over Sainath Babar

"I strongly suspect that Sainath Babar, the Pune city president of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, is behind all these cases and also for making death threats to me," More said in the complaint. However, I request you to take immediate action and arrest the person who called me and threatened to kill me and MNS Pune city president Sainath Babar, otherwise we will take out a march to Bharti Vidyapeeth police station on Sunday, July 21 at 10 am.
