KALYAN: A motor car driver allegedly tried to kill a two-wheeler rider on Tuesday night after he tried to overtake his vehicle. If the two-wheeler rider had not been careful, the motorist would have hit the petrol pump and caused a major accident.

Rohan Shinde, a resident of Kalyan East, was going to fill petrol at a petrol pump in Hiraghat area with his friend on Tuesday night. A truck driver was driving on the same road. The motorist suddenly cut hard to overtake Rohan Shinde's bike. As Rohan was driving the bike slowly, he immediately took the bike aside and instructed the car driver to drive the motor with restraint.

Angered by this, the motor car driver followed Rohan Shinde's bike and approached him on the road near the petrol pump area. Rohan's bike was hit from behind. In the impact, Rohan and his friends fell to the ground along with the two-wheeler. The driver of the car tried to run over Rohan. Rohan ran towards the petrol pump to save his life. So he was saved. An eyewitness said that if the motorist had brought the speeding car towards the petrol pump, there would have been a major accident.
