Pimpri-Chinchwad triple murder : Woman dies during abortion, her two sons thrown into river

According to the police, the incident took place in Mawal taluka of Pune district. The entire incident came to light during the search for the missing woman. The woman died during delivery. When her body was thrown into the river, her two sons started crying and threw them into the river alive. The incident took place between July 6 and 9, 2024. The Talegaon MIDC police have arrested two people in connection with the case.

What exactly is the case about?


According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bapu Banger, a missing case was registered under the Talegaon Dabhade police station after a married woman went missing. During the investigation, it was found that the missing woman's boyfriend had sent her to Thane with his friend to abort her pregnancy. The woman died during treatment. After this, the boyfriend's friend brought back the dead body and both the children of the woman and came to the Talegaon MIDC police station area in the early morning of July 9, 2024. With the help of his friends, he dumped the body in the river.

The woman's two children started crying. They were also thrown alive into the river. A case has been registered at Talegaon MIDC police station and her boyfriend Gajendra Dagdkhair and his friend Ravikant Gaikwad have been arrested. The accused have been sent to court. Further investigation is being carried out by Senior Police Inspector Ambika Dhaste.
