Pune ACB Trap case.
A police constable of Dighi police station was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.70 lakh out of Rs 2 lakh for registering a case against a builder.
The accused has been identified as Amol Dashrath Jadhav (43). A 42-year-old man had lodged a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Bureau. (Pune Bribe Case)
The complainant had purchased a flat at Chovisawadi in Charholi from the builder. However, the builder had sold the flat to someone else and cheated the complainant. The builder had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. On the basis of the complaint, constable Amol Jadhav demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant to help him file a criminal case against the builder. The complaint was verified on July 16 and 18. In this, Havaldar Jadhav expressed his willingness to accept Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand as a compromise. Havaldar Jadhav was caught while accepting Rs 1.70 lakh from the complainant at Vadmukhwadi on Alandi-Vishrantwadi road on Thursday afternoon.
