Pune: A woman was allegedly robbed of Rs.9 lakh by a man who posed as a policeman. The incident took place between July 5 and July 7 in the Hadapsar area. The 32-year-old woman, who lives in the Sade Satra Nali area, has filed a complaint at the Hadapsar police station. The police have registered a case against the cyber criminals.
The woman called the police and informed them about the cybercrime. They threatened him that his Aadhaar card was being used illegally. To avoid action against them, the cyber thief took Rs.8 lakh 98 thousand from the woman online and cheated her financially. Police inspector Umesh Gitte is investigating the case. (Pune Cyber Crime)
