Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad police arrested a person for allegedly forging documents

Pune: A caretaker has been arrested by the Wakad police in Pune for allegedly forging documents and grabbing 10 guntas of land. It was held at Group No. 17/3 A and Group No. 17/3 B at Rahatni from 24.12.2021 to 11.03.2024.

Anand Srinivas Hirekatur (53) Abhiman Shree Society, Pashan Road, Pune) has lodged a complaint at Wakad Police Station. Suresh Shankar Junavane (52) A case under Sections 447, 406, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC has been registered against him.


According to the police, the complainant's wife was allotted ten guntas of land by her father in Rahatni in Group No 17/3 A and Group No 17/3 B. The accused, Suresh Junavane, was appointed as a caretaker. However, he misused his authority and created false documents of the place. He forged his signature to show that ten guntas of land in the name of the wife of the complainant was in his name. He also took unauthorized possession of the place and fraudulently put his name board on it. Senior police inspector Nivrutti Kolhatkar is investigating the case.
