Pune: Police Report Online – Pune CP Office New Building: The Home Department granted administrative approval for an amount of ₹193 crores 80 lakh 59 thousand 404 rupees on Saturday (16th) for the construction of a new, ultra-modern facility at the Pune Police Commissionerate. The construction work for the new building will be undertaken by the Public Works Department.

Due to the continuous expansion of Pune city, the number of police stations has increased. Consequently, the current building of the Pune Police Commissionerate has become inadequate. Therefore, a new, ultra-modern building will be constructed at the Pune Police Commissionerate premises, which currently faces limitations in terms of functionality. Hence, after seeking approvals and arranging funds for several months, the construction of the new building is now set to commence.

The estimated cost for the construction of the new building, submitted for administrative approval, was ₹242 crores 99 lakhs 91 thousand 115 rupees. The estimated proposal was forwarded for administrative approval.

Under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, a meeting of the High-Level Committee was held on March 11th. In this meeting, a fund of ₹193 crores 80 lakhs 59 thousand 404 rupees was approved. The directives regarding this were issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Maharashtra Government, Narayan Biras Mane, on Saturday. The land for the Police Commissionerate falls under the Home Department of the Maharashtra Government. After ensuring all formalities, the work will commence. Prior to inviting bids for the work, technical approval from competent authorities of the Public Works Department is necessary. It has been decided in the government resolution that work should not commence until direct funds are available
