On interrogation, he confessed to having committed the theft.
He said he committed thefts at Bhairavnath Jogeshwari temple in Shingwe, Devi temple in Lakhangaon, Hanuman temple in Mandlewadi and Bolai Mata temple in Jarkarwadi under Pargaon (Karkhana) police station limits. On further questioning, it was revealed that the temple of Shrinath Maskoba at Rautwadi in Shikrapur, Vadjai Mata Temple at Kavtemala, Kanhersar Yemai Old Thane Temple at Khed, Rajgurunagar, Kalubai Temple at Shirur Savindane, Tukai Mata Temple at Ranjangaon Phadwasti, Khandoba Temple at Ghodegaon Shindewadi and Kalmajai Temple, Tukai Temple at Supa in Ahmednagar district, Shree Khandoba Temple at Wade Gawan Parner and Shree Khandoba Temple at Nagar MIDC Shivamalhar Gad Pimpalgaon Mali were the places where the theft took place during the night.
