The construction of the Hinjewadi-Shivaji Nagar Metro Rail is underway, due to which motorists using Ganesh Khind Road have been suffering for the last few years. Motorists are likely to get some relief. (Pune Traffic Updates)
Due to the ongoing work on the double flyover at Pune University Chowk on Ganeshkhind Road and the metro station on the way, the entry of all types of vehicles from Pune University Chowk to Rangehills Chowk and beyond to Shivajinagar was closed on Ganeshkhind Road. Motorists had to take a detour at Range Hills to go to Shivajinagar. With the completion of important works on this route, the Transport Department has decided to re-double this route.
On Ganeshkhind Road, from Pune University Chowk to Shimla Office Chowk, double traffic is being started for all types of vehicles from August 10. The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar.
This will save motorists a lot of time.
