Mumbai: In a significant move to enhance his safety, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly imported a second bulletproof car from Dubai. This decision comes in the wake of escalating threats from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, particularly following the recent murder of his close friend, NCP MLA Baba Siddique. The latest addition to Khan's security arsenal is a high-end Nissan Patrol SUV, renowned for its robust safety features. Valued at approximately Rs 2 crore, this luxury vehicle is not available in the Indian market, necessitating its import from Dubai.
Equipped with reinforced bulletproof glass, bomb alert sensors, and tinted windows to shield occupants from view, the SUV symbolizes Khan's commitment to prioritizing his safety. Salman Khan's troubles with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang trace back to his involvement in a blackbuck hunting case, an incident that has placed him in the crosshairs of the gang due to the blackbuck's significance to the Bishnoi community. Recently, the gang intensified their threats, demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore for Khan's safety while ominously warning him of dire consequences if their demands are not met.
In response to these alarming threats, the actor has ramped up his security measures, which now include an impressive fleet of bulletproof vehicles. This new Nissan Patrol SUV marks the second armored car in Khan's possession, following the arrival of his first bulletproof vehicle imported from Dubai last year. As Salman Khan navigates this precarious situation, the entertainment industry and his fans remain vigilant, hoping for his safety and well-being in the face of these serious threats.
