The suspects, identified as Prakash Rawal, Arvind Rawal, and Prem Barot, were apprehended in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, following an extensive investigation utilizing technical surveillance and location tracking. The shocking incident unfolded in the Lalchali area of Deesa in broad daylight, where two armed assailants intercepted an employee of an Angadia (courier) firm who was transporting the substantial cash sum on an Activa scooter.

Armed with a revolver, the robbers held the courier at gunpoint, making off with a bag containing INR 80 lakh, leaving the local community in disbelief and fear. Following the incident, the Angadia firm's manager promptly notified the Deesa Police, triggering an immediate response. Multiple police teams were swiftly deployed to the scene, gathering crucial evidence including CCTV footage from the vicinity. The investigation led authorities to establish a series of checkpoints and form eight special teams dedicated to tracking down the suspects.

The LCB’s relentless efforts paid off when they were able to trace the suspects to Jodhpur, where they were ultimately arrested. The incident raises alarm over the rising trend of armed robberies in the area, particularly following a similar event in Tharad where a farmer was robbed, prompting concerns regarding the law and order situation in Gujarat. The Angadia community, historically trusted for their cash transportation services across the country, is now facing heightened scrutiny and concerns for their safety.
