Solapur, Maharashtra – In a heart-wrenching incident early this morning, two young devotees lost their lives while returning home from the Navratri festival celebrations in Tuljapur, where they visited the revered Tuljabhavani Mata. The accident occurred at Chincholi bypass in Sangola taluka along the Solapur-Kolhapur highway. The deceased have been identified as Sukhdev Bamane, 40, and Nainesh Kore, 31, both residents of Nandani in Kolhapur district. Alongside them, three other individuals were injured in the crash. The injured passengers include Suraj Vibhute from Kuthli, Shivanand Kore, 35, from Vadgaon, and Sudhir Chowgule, 35, also from Nandani.
They have been admitted to a private hospital in Sangola for treatment. According to reports, the accident occurred when the speeding car, with registration number MH 09 FB 3908, collided with a 26-wheeler goods truck, which was transporting pomegranates from Sangola to Kolhapur. The impact was so severe that Bamane and Kore were ejected from the vehicle, resulting in their immediate fatalities.
Witnesses reported that the road was strewn with debris following the collision. Local authorities were quick to respond, with Sangola police arriving at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.
