The blast, which occurred between 8:30 PM and 9 PM, caused a two-story house to collapse, raising fears that additional victims may be trapped beneath the rubble. The incident unfolded in a residential colony, where eyewitnesses reported a sudden and violent explosion. Emergency services were quick to respond, with local police, fire brigade, and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams mobilizing to the site for rescue operations. According to reports from local authorities, 18 to 19 people were in the house at the time of the explosion, with eight individuals successfully rescued.

However, three people remain in critical condition and are receiving treatment at local hospitals. Dhruv Kant Thaku, Additional Director General of Police for the Meerut Zone, confirmed the fatalities and indicated that rescue teams are working diligently to search for any remaining individuals who may be trapped. “We are doing everything possible to ensure that anyone under the debris is located and rescued,” Thaku stated. Bulandshahr Collector Chandra Prakash Singh provided further insight into the situation, noting the urgent need for medical assistance for the injured.
