The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Shyam Dasani, a businessman who owned a biscuit factory, and his wife, Kanika Dasani. Reports indicate that the fire ignited from a lamp placed in a small wooden temple within the home shortly after the family had celebrated the festival with prayers. The couple and their maid succumbed to smoke inhalation as the flames rapidly engulfed the house.
