Beirut, Lebanon – In a devastating escalation of conflict, Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of at least three paramedics and left 11 others injured, according to reports from local media. The tragic events unfolded as tensions between Israel and Hezbollah intensified, particularly since September 23, when the Israeli military ramped up its air operations targeting various locations across Lebanon. The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that one paramedic was killed and seven others injured during an Israeli air raid on the town of Borj Rahal, located in the Tyre district. In a separate incident, two paramedics from the Civil Defence were killed, and four more were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on the village of Kfar Tebnit, east of Nabatieh.

On Saturday, Israeli warplanes and drones conducted 12 raids across nine Lebanese villages and towns, while artillery units shelled seven additional locations, causing further injuries among the civilian population. Israeli infantry forces, supported by armored vehicles, attempted to infiltrate southern Lebanon through the border village of al-Dhahira, resulting in fierce clashes with Hezbollah fighters. In response to these aggressions, Hezbollah fired missile barrages targeting Israeli military installations, including the Yara barracks near the border, the Golani Brigade headquarters north of the Israeli city of Acre, the Ramim barracks in northern Israel, and the Stella Maris naval base west of Haifa. The current surge in hostilities follows a series of Israeli airstrikes that have plagued Lebanon since October last year, contributing to a significant humanitarian crisis. According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, the death toll from Israeli airstrikes has reached 3,445, with injuries reported at approximately 14,599 since the onset of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As the situation continues to evolve, the international community watches closely, urging restraint from both sides to prevent further loss of life and to seek a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
