Dehradun, Uttarakhand** – A devastating road accident early Tuesday morning has left the community in mourning after six students lost their lives in a collision between a truck and an Innova car. The incident occurred around 2 am near the ONGC intersection, shattering the lives of the victims’ families and sending shockwaves through their college community. The car, which was carrying seven students, was struck with such force by the truck that it was reduced to fragments. Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was catastrophic, killing six students on the spot, while one student, identified as Siddhesh Agarwal, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention. All the individuals involved were students of a private college and hailed from Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
The deceased have been identified as Guneet, 19, Kamakshi, 20, Navya Goyal, 23, Rishabh Jain, 24, Kunal Kukreja, 23, and Atul Agarwal, 24. The horrific scene necessitated the involvement of emergency services to extract the bodies from the mangled wreckage, with reports indicating that some victims suffered severe trauma. The truck driver reportedly fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle involved in the crash, raising concerns about accountability and road safety. Following the accident, local police swiftly arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation and transport the victims' bodies to nearby hospitals, with five students taken to Doon Hospital and one to Mahant Indresh Hospital. As news of the tragedy spread, distressing videos of the aftermath surfaced on social media, inciting a wave of outrage and grief among netizens.
