For the last eight days, there have been frequent incidents of vandalism of vehicles within the limits of Wakad Police Station. In order to create terror in the area, the self-proclaimed brother is targeting the vehicles of ordinary citizens with sickles and rods in his hands. The vehicles were damaged with stones and bricks. Four such incidents have taken place in the district in the past few days. Therefore, the self-proclaimed brother has become docile to the police and the police's grip on criminals seems to have decreased.

Raosaheb Govind Mane (37) is the prime accused in the case. Parandwal, a resident of Nadhenagar, Kalewadi, has lodged a complaint at Wakad police station.

The two boys were arrested and handed over to their relatives. The police have booked the accused under Sections 310 (2) 351 (2) / (3) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Arms Act, the Maharashtra Police Act and the Criminal Law Amendment Act.

The accused, who were riding a two-wheeler, smashed the windowpanes of the car while the victim was parking his vehicle. When asked about it, he said, "Don't you know us, we are brothers here, so we asked for money. When the complainant refused to pay the money, he threatened her with a sickle and a rod and forcibly took the money from her pocket. People of the area gathered at the spot. The accused threatened the victim to throw the knife and rod in the air or else they would kill each of them. A total of nine vehicles, including cars, tempos and rickshaws, parked on the side of the road were damaged in the blast.

Four vehicles were vandalised in the area in the past few days. The first incident took place on July 10, the second on July 14, the third on July 17 and the fourth on July 18 in Kalewadi. Vehicles are being vandalized to create panic as there are many brothers in the same area. From these incidents, it appears that the police did not have control over the self-proclaimed brother.
