Action against Vikas Divyakirti's institute for teaching UPSC.
Two students, who were preparing for the UPSC exam, died after rainwater gushed into the basement of RAU's IAS coaching centre in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar. The Delhi government has been put on high alert following the incident. The municipal corporation has started sealing the basements of buildings, especially those where coaching centres are run, at several places in Delhi, including Rajendra Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar. The municipal corporation sealed the basement of 13 coaching institutes on Monday (July 29). These include Drishti IAS Institute, Waji Ram IAS Institute, Waziram and Ravi Institute, Waziram and IAS Hub, Shri Ram IAS Institute and some other coaching institutes. The teaching classes of this coaching institute were being run in the basement of different buildings. These shops have been closed.
Noted UPSC teacher Vikas Divyakirti's coaching centre, Drishti IAS, has also been taken into action. Training classes of Drishti IAS were being run in the basement of Vardhman Mall in Nehru Vihar, Delhi. The building has been closed for security reasons. A total of five rooms of Drishti IAS Institute have been sealed. The institute is also under investigation. Meanwhile, Vikas Divyakirti along with other renowned IAS gurus are being criticized for their silence on the incident that took place at RUU's IAS Institute.

A few months ago, Vikas played a cameo in the film 12th Fail. This film was also related to the competition exam. Vikas was born on 26 December 1973 in Bhiwani, Haryana. He was good at studies from childhood. His father was a professor of Hindi. Since childhood, he was fond of Hindi language and literature. He holds a BA, MA, MPhil and PhD in Hindi literature from the University of Delhi. He holds a Master's degree in Translation from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Vikas Divyakirti is very popular among UPSC students. He began his professional career as a teacher. He studied at Delhi University. He was also preparing for UPSC. In 1996, he passed the UPSC exam in his first attempt. He later joined the Union Home Ministry. Even after getting a government job, he took the exam twice more. But he failed both times. After a year, he resigned from the job in 1999 and founded Drishti IAS Coaching Institute. He teaches UPSC students. Many of her videos are going viral on social media.
